Bathrooms aren’t known for having a lot of plants, owing to the unpredictable nature of the climate. Bathrooms feature varying temperatures, consistent humidity, and a lot or a little sunshine depending on the direction windows face and the number of windows. To thrive in such unforgiving conditions, you’ll need hardy plant babies, and luckily for us, there are lots to pick from.
Which Bathroom Plants Do You Choose?
Plants that can grow in the warm, humid atmosphere of a bathroom are a good choice in general. What do you do if you don’t know what plants thrive under those conditions? As a general guideline, consider the plant’s natural habitat. Choose plants that are native to the tropics.
1. The Birds Nest Fern
With the aid of a bird’s nest fern, you may add a touch of nature to your bathroom. Because these leafy plants like moderate, indirect light, don’t place them directly on your window sill. Air plants are ideal for bathrooms because they can absorb the moisture from showers and baths. Plus, because they don’t require containers or potting mix, they let you to be more creative with your display. Air plants take water and nutrients from the air rather than utilising their roots to do so. They may thrive in a variety of environments, but they prefer strong, indirect light and high humidity.
