The semi-rural to rural district of Moe South features meandering hills rolling toward the more southern districts of Coalville & Narracan, to the east at Hernes Oak and to the west Trafalgar South and Thorpdale. The centrepiece of this area is the winding Narracan Creek that flows through the Narracan Valley down through Moe and into the Latrobe River on the northern side of town.

Often promoted as the premiere semi rural area of the Latrobe Valley, property values in the area are often comparable with those in other regions.

The highly fertile red soil of the Moe South district paired with it’s rolling hills provide the perfect environment for agriculture & horticulture.

Many of the larger rural holdings in the area grow cattle and sheep whilst potatoes, vineyards and wholesale plants are grown on the land by various farmers.

Moe South starts on the town fringe with small acreage lifestyle properties with town water from an acre to 10 acres then slowly expand to larger holdings well in excess of a couple hundred acres.

School bus services run through most areas of Moe South and the Princes Freeway is easily accessable from the district.
